Fact Checked by Nate Hamilton

If your favorite NHL team is playing on Thursday, you better hope they’re not playing the Carolina Hurricanes, a hot team that has NC residents clamoring for North Carolina Sports Betting to get here already.

This season, the Canes are an impressive 8-1 when playing on that day, making it the best day of the week for Rod Brind’Amour’s team. Hurricanes Primed for Postseason Run

As you can see, it’s looking good for the Canes as we hit the final quarter of the regular season. They play on Thursday nights for the next seven weeks, starting this week with a home game against the Florida Panthers, who will travel to PNC Arena as one of the hottest teams in the league. The Atlantic Division leaders have won six straight and nine of their last 10.

Other Thursday night contests for Carolina are at Columbus (Feb. 29), home versus Montreal (March 7), home versus Florida (March 14), home versus Philadelphia (March 21), home versus Detroit (March 28) and home versus Boston (April 4).

Statewide online North Carolina sports betting apps will be legal starting March 11, and Canes fans will have plenty of opportunities to bet on their team and their chances to win the Stanley Cup.

BetMGM Sportsbook NC lists the Hurricanes as its co-sixth choice (with the New York Rangers and Vancouver Canucks) to win the Stanley Cup, giving them +1100 odds. That means a $100 winning bet would return $1,200.

Fanatics North Carolina, the Canes sports betting partner pending approval from the North Carolina State Lottery Commission, is offering +175 odds on Carolina to win the Metropolitan Division. The Canes are six points behind the Rangers as of Wednesday afternoon. The Rangers are the -175 favorites, meaning a $175 wager would return $275.
