College Football Returns, Boosting August Activity

We will likely see an even higher spike in September, as the NFL returns with a high volume of NC betting promos.

Youth Sports Receive $2M in Grants Across All 100 Counties
On Tuesday, North Carolina Amateur Sports announced that it will award $2 million in youth sports grants across all 100 counties, aimed at upgrading equipment and facilities for local programs.
“The money North Carolina has raised from this growing industry has made a positive impact in so many ways,” said Rep. Zack Hawkins (D-Durham), the lead sponsor of the sports betting legislation. “These grants have provided athletics equipment, fields and facilities, and leagues to get our children playing and competing.”
The new grant cycle for 2025–26 begins October 1.
