As we enter Week 9 of the college football season, we’re down to 10 schools in the 134-team Football Bowl Subdivision that are unbeaten, including two of the three service academies that play football at the sport’s highest level.

College Football Playoff contenders such as Oregon, Indiana and Penn State of the Big Ten, plus Miami and Pittsburgh from the ACC, are Power Four teams that have paid off well for anyone wagering on their moneylines at NC sports betting sites.

BetCarolina.com wanted to see which of the 10 unbeaten FBS teams has the best shot at running the table the longest. So we put together these hypothetical odds on the program with the best shot at being the last one standing without a loss. Games listed below are on Saturday unless indicated.

Two unbeaten teams are guaranteed to come through this weekend unscathed – Army and Iowa State have the week off and are idle until early November.

This week’s first game involving an unbeaten team is Wednesday, when unranked Liberty faces Conference USA foe (and FBS newcomer) Kennesaw State on the road. Thursday’s primetime clash between the 6-0 Pitt Panthers and 5-1 Syracuse Orange is next in the Steel City. ESPN BET lists Pat Narduzzi’s team as a six-point favorite at home as of Oct. 22.

Early on Saturday, there’s a noon Eastern time kickoff between 6-0 Navy and 6-1 Notre Dame on Saturday (on ABC) while the No. 13 ranked Hoosiers face unranked Washington on the Big Ten Network as a full day of North Carolina sportsbook apps action gets underway.

Which FBS Team Will Remain Unbeaten Longest?

Right now, we’re going with Dan Lanning’s Oregon squad as the favorite to go without a loss the longest. We give the No. 1 Ducks +300 odds that the former Pac-12 program is the last one standing in their first season in the Big Ten.

Second on our list is Liberty, which plays a weak schedule in CUSA, at +415, then the Miami Hurricanes at +450. Longshots to be the last ones standing include the BYU Cougars of the Big 12 and the Hoosiers, both of whom clock in at +1000 this week, while the Iowa State Cyclones are next up at +1200.

Army, Pitt (+1750 each), Penn State (+4000) and Navy (+8000) are at the bottom of the list, mostly because of their schedules.

As for the Week 9 games involving teams that are unbeaten this week, Liberty is the biggest favorite, with ESPN BET giving the Flames a 25.5-point spread over Kennesaw State.

Oregon is also a heavy favorite, by 21.5 points at home over 20th-ranked Illinois (6-1), at 3:30 Eastern Saturday afternoon. No. 11 BYU is a two-point road favorite in Orlando against 3-4 UCF, while No. 6 Miami is a 21-point home favorite against 1-6 FSU. No. 3 Penn State is a 6.5-point road favorite over the Badgers, according to ESPN BET North Carolina.
